About The 2024 Self-Nominating Categories
Welcome to the 2024 CAFA Self Nomination categories. This year there are 15 categories open for self nomination. Criteria and submission requirements are listed for each category below once you select the category you are interested in applying for.
THE EMERGING TALENT AWARD, FASHION DESIGN AND ACCESSORY DESIGN
These two Awards will be presented to innovative Canadian designers who are emerging as true creative forces in Canadian fashion. Each Emerging Talent Award winner will receive a cash prize of $10,000, mentorship for one year from industry experts in the fields of marketing, Finance, PR, Branding etc. and gain national and international exposure.

THE WOMENSWEAR DESIGNER OF THE YEAR AWARD will be presented to an outstanding Canadian womenswear designer who has made a significant creative impact in the fashion industry.

THE MENSWEAR DESIGNER OF THE YEAR AWARD will be presented to an outstanding Canadian menswear designer who has made a significant creative impact in the fashion industry.

FASHION DESIGN STUDENT AWARD will be presented to an exceptional Canadian fashion design student who has recently graduated from a fashion design program.
